Voltech
The Brief
Voltech is the country's first producer of LFP golf car batteries, founded alongside its sister companies MATGR and G.Ride so the group could power its own machines. It is a brand that lives where most brands never go, bolted inside a chassis, printed on an industrial casing and read in workshops and service bays instead of on screens.
So the identity had to work as engineering as much as design. The mark had to stay legible on a product covered in specifications and safety warnings, the system had to organise a whole range at a glance, and the brand needed the confidence to announce a new national industry.
What We Made
The mark starts with the V and lets electricity finish it. From each tip of the letter the line branches into arcs, the shape of current finding its path, so the form reads as a V, as a circuit coming alive and as energy leaving the terminal. Around it sit the typography, the colours and a brushed-metal restraint that separates an engineering brand from an electronics shop.
Then we designed the product. The battery's livery, layout and labelling are ours, with specifications, warnings and certifications arranged in a hierarchy that reads clearly at arm's length.
A range needs order, so we built a tier system into the design. Eco, Standard, Premium and Range each carry their own colour band, and a wall of batteries sorts itself before anyone says a word.
